ARS VETERA
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Ars Vetera handles personal information submitted through this website and the THORAK waiting list.
Last updated: August 2026
01

When you join the Ars Vetera waiting list, we collect the information you voluntarily provide through the registration form.
- Email address
- Country
- Your consent to receive project updates
- Date and time of registration
We do not ask for payment information when you join the waiting list.
We do not require you to provide your name, telephone number, postal address or other information that is not necessary to operate the waiting list.
02
How we use information.
Information submitted through the waiting list is used to administer the list and communicate with people who have expressed an interest in THORAK and future Ars Vetera developments.
This may include project updates, information about the development of the edition and notification when reservations become available.
We do not use waiting-list information for unrelated advertising or sell or rent it to third parties.
03
Legal basis.
Where applicable, waiting-list information is processed on the basis of your consent to receive project updates and communications about THORAK and Ars Vetera.
You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Certain technical processing may also be carried out where necessary for website security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention and the reliable operation of the website.
04
Service providers.
Ars Vetera uses Cloudflare services to operate parts of the website infrastructure and waiting-list system.
Cloudflare is used for website infrastructure, data storage, security and bot protection through Cloudflare Turnstile, rate-limiting and transactional email delivery.
When Turnstile is used, Cloudflare processes technical signals associated with the visitor's interaction with the security service for the purpose of distinguishing legitimate visitors from automated or malicious traffic.
These signals may include technical information such as information about the browser, operating system, network and source IP address. This processing is performed as part of the security service and is separate from the waiting-list information stored by Ars Vetera.
Cloudflare also provides the email delivery service used to send transactional messages, including the waiting-list confirmation email and internal registration notification.
Service providers may process personal information on behalf of Ars Vetera where necessary to provide these services and subject to their applicable privacy terms and contractual obligations.
05
Security.
Waiting-list information is stored electronically and protected using technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the operation of the project.
The waiting-list API uses server-side validation, rate limiting and Cloudflare Turnstile verification to reduce automated, fraudulent and abusive submissions.
The IP address associated with a request may be processed by the infrastructure for security and rate-limiting purposes. The IP address is not stored as a field in the Ars Vetera waiting-list database.
Access to waiting-list information is limited to what is reasonably necessary to operate the Ars Vetera project and communicate with registered collectors.
06
Data retention.
Waiting-list information is retained while the THORAK project is active and the information remains necessary to operate the waiting list and communicate with registered collectors.
Information may be deleted earlier when it is no longer necessary for these purposes or when you request deletion.
Technical information processed by third-party security and infrastructure providers may be subject to those providers' own applicable retention periods and policies.
07
Your rights.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of processing.
You may also have the right to object to certain processing and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You may request deletion of your waiting-list information at any time by contacting us using the contact information below.
Where applicable law provides a right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, you may exercise that right with the relevant authority in your jurisdiction.
08
